My name is Mrs. Denise Hicks.  I am very excited to be teaching at Cullender Kindergarten.  This is my 32nd year of teaching young children and I love my job.  I am a graduate of the Univerisity of Illinois and have spent all of my teaching career in the great state of Texas. 

I am married to Greg Hicks and we have lived in Monahans for 33 years.  I have 4 children - Michael, a dispatcher for a sand hauling company, Ashley, who is married and works for MWPISD as a teacher, Danica, who is also married, and is the office manager for a local company, and Haylie who is an RN and works in Labor and Delivery.  I also have four wonderful grandchildren that keep me busy with their schedules and activities - Caius, a 9 year old, Jase who is 8, Emery, an energetic 5 year old, and Alaric, who is 5 and in Pre-K.

When I am not busy with school and family activities, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and playing with our four dogs - Clifford, Fozzie, Oliver (Ollie), and Mac.
